The scope of the SafeMa virtual learning environment is to create Massive Online Open Courses (MOOC) on midwifery. The Courses will allow the collaborative interaction between their users through both learning and assessment activities. The VLE will support the SafeMa Hubs in serving as model teaching, research and pedagogic resource centers in midwifery. The VLE could also serve as a supportive means in the delivery of the postgraduate degree, as a portal for communication between students and professors.
