In the context of the Safema project, the Research Cluster was established. The Safema Research Cluster fosters networking and cooperation among researchers in southeast Asia and beyond for the much–needed investigation of local conditions, reaching evidence-based conclusions that can inform quality midwifery practice.

In the context of the Research Cluster and the FORUM that is created, an international community of researchers, students and academics is established. This community is focused on promoting research, best practices on midwifery and accelerating dialogue and exchange of knowledge.  Additionally, this community offers interdisciplinary research that is rigorous and pertinent in a variety of fields relevant to midwifery, both locally and globally. Last but not least, the Safema Research Cluster is spreading all outcomes of the Safema project.
